Pushbarges
In 2009 and 2010 Shipkits has constructed and delivered 8 complete push barges for the company Agrifirm. These barges are mainly used for transport of bulk cargo in the agricultural industry. The hold volume is 2,475m3, the loading capacity 2,130 tons with a maximum draught of 3.4m.
The barges need to be suitable for transport through inland waterways. To obtain good manoeuvrablility in these mostly shallow and narrow waters, they are equipment with a bowthruster driven by a diesel engine, type KMD 430. All equipment has been installed and commissioned at the building site and therefore fully operational at delivery.
